Catalysis Consulting - the Concept

When you think of catalysis, you are most likely to think about biological or chemical systems where a catalyst is used to cause a desired reaction to occur or speed up. If we apply the same thinking to consultancy it provides a powerful concept - consultancy that produces fundamental change in or transformation of the business process to achieve desired results. This concept is what Catalysis Consulting sees as its primary role as a consultancy.

Dr. Jim Bradley B.Sc., Ph.D., M.B.A., Dip. M., MLBCAI, MIITD

Jim has developed and delivered training courses and undertaken consultancy and coaching projects for a range of companies both directly and as a sub-contracted consultant since starting Catalysis Consulting in 1998.  With a background in the healthcare / pharmaceutical sector that was heavily focused on customer  & training related issues, he brings with him a wealth of practical experience to projects that he is involved in.

In his educational background he has achieved academic qualifications in Science up to Doctoral level and in Business he has also been awarded a M.B.A. from the Ulster Business School at the University of Ulster.

On a professional level, Jim has professional membership status within the Life and Business Coach Association of Ireland (LBCAI) and the Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD). He has also successfully completed his Assessor TDLB Units D32 and D33 with the Institute of Management  and passed at the top of his class, the lead-auditor examinations of the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA).

As an executive coach, Jim has designed and implemented performance management coaching interventions for executives in the Health Service Executive, private businesses, multinationals and not for profit sectors of industry.  His client-centred approach to coaching is designed to maximize the benefit for the client allowing them to unlock their potential and deliver the results they need for their organisation.  He has recently completed his training as an NLP Practitioner and is accredited through the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming.   Jim’s  coaching activity is not restricted to the business arena, he holds a second dan black belt in Shotokan karate and is the senior instructor / coach at the WSKF karate club in Ennis.

In his activities as a Consultant and Trainer, Jim has  designed and delivered management and personal development interventions at management level in a range of organizations from multinationals to not-for profits (including the Health Service Executive) in subject areas focused on core skills which include, Interpersonal Skills, Supervisory Management, Effective Meeting Skills, Problem Solving, Train the Trainer, Team Building, Project Management, Customer Care, Decision Making, Strategy and Planning, Workflow and Stress Management, Effective Presentation Skills and Business / Technical Report Writing.

Jim’s approach to developmental / coaching and consulting interventions is focused on creating an environment that is safe yet challenging for clients , driving them towards success.  He can relate to people at all levels in an organization and works with them to create an interactive  experience so they can design solutions and implement them immediately in the workplace.

Having  wide experience in the successful design and delivery of coaching, developmental and consulting  interventions in client organizations, Jim’s passion for facilitating the development of both people and business is evident in his approach and in the results for his clients.
